Founded in 1953 as the South Texas Bible Institute, Mid America Christian University offers Bible-based liberal arts programs and ministry education. The university extends over 20 major fields of study leading, to a degree. Students and faculty members explore issues from a Christian world-view.

Located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the MACU campus is spread out over 65 acres and consists of eight buildings. The main building contains nearly two acres of space under the same roof. The college auditorium has a seating capacty of 670, and is used for chapel, assemblies, and other special sessions. The Charles Ewing Brown Library has a collection of 42,000 print volumes, over 50,000 electronic resources, and over 8,000 online periodical titles.
