Starting in 1958, Davidson County Community College possessed educational programs that targeted the needs of adult learners to prepare them for the demands of the manufacturing-based marketplace. To this day, Davidson continues to focus on the needs of their students. Men and women from varying programs and experience benefit from exceptional academic programs to open up the doors to new career and educational possibilities. With its Davidson and Davie campuses in addition to educational centers in Thomasville and Lexington, North Carolina, approximately 16,000 students take advantage of the accessible and affordable learning opportunities.

Davidson County Community College is home to more than 50 curriculum programs. Programs are tailored to pave the way for further educational pursuits at a four-year college or university or entry level positions at various companies throughout the region. Courses are conducted in atmosphere that promotes intellectually inquiry and lively discussions. When pursuing their studies full-time, students seeking to complete an associate degree program can achieve this goal in as little as two years. Diploma and Certificate programs can be completed in one to three semesters while attending full-time. Courses can be completed on campus during the day or the evening. Advisors are also available to aid students throughout their time at Davidson to ensure that they meet their goals. As Davidson County Community College continues to expand its programs and services will grow in proportion.
