Danville Community College (DCC) is one of 23 institutions within the Virginia Community College system. It is the aim of DCC to provide quality wide-ranging higher education and workforce training programs and support services that meet the needs of its students and the neighboring areas. Located in Danville, Virginia, Danville Community College the college was formed through the consolidation of Danville Technical Institute and the Danville Division of Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1936. At that time, the College focused on engineering education. As the years progressed, DCC expanded to include programs in business administration, liberal arts, and science. Offering programs in the midst of a supportive and caring environment, students are inspired to be active participants in a diverse and vibrant campus community. Men and women come to DCC to pursue Associate level degrees, diplomas, Certificates and Career Studies. Students may choose from programs in areas of study including Business Administration, Engineering, Dental Hygiene, Early Childhood Education, Technical Studies, Accounting, Gerontology, Medical Coding, Interior Decorating, and so many more.
