Eastern Nazerene College offers great science programs

Individuals interested in the sciences may want to check out Eastern Nazerene College, which is home to many prominent scientists who have helped with many discoveries that shaped America.

For instance, Carl Crouthamel graduated from Eastern Nazerene College and was one of thousands of scientists and engineers to work on the Manhattan Project, which was later revealed as the code name for the atomic bomb. However, Crouthamel worked directly with world-renowned and Nobel Prize-winning physicist Enrico Fermi during the development.

John S. Rigden, another famous alumni of Eastern Nazerene College, is an internationally-renowned physicist whose expertise lies in molecular physics and the history of science. He is also the co-editor of the scholarly journal Physics in Perspective. Rigden is the author of many books within the physics field.

The school's physics curriculum is rigorous and explores subjects in mathematics, applied mechanics, statistical thermodynamics, chemistry, calculus and linear algebra.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment opportunities for physicists are expected to increase by 16 percent in the coming years, which translates into more than 2,500 available positions.
