All first year BFA students at The Art Academy of Cincinnati begin with four semesters of Foundations courses. After completing the first semester of Foundations course work, students have flexibility during their second, third, and fourth semesters to move into studio areas of special interest, including painting, drawing, illustration, printmaking, graphic design, multimedia design, sculpture, and photography. Each student experiences a breadth of courses before declaring an emphasis by the end of their third semester.
