Deep in the heart of West Virginia, Davis & Elkins College (D&E) is dedicated to liberal arts studies that place an emphasis on personal attention, stimulating intellectual curiosity, and practical "real-world" experience. Founded by United States Senators, Henry Gassaway Davis and Stephen Benton Elkins, the College continues to reflect their vision that embodies a pioneering spirit and leadership. Since 1904, D&E also has deep connections to the Presbyterian Church (USA). As a result of this affiliation, men and women from around the world have been inspired to use their talents and skills to improve their local and global communities.
The Elkins campus in West Virginia is home to over 30 baccalaureate and associate degree programs. Programs range from traditional arts and science to professional studies such as nursing and education. Students wishing to pursue Pre-professional studies at D&E are equipped to pursue professional fields including medicine, dentistry, forestry, the ministry, occupational therapy, pharmacy and law. Each undergraduate program in undergirded by a solid liberal arts curriculum.
