With more than 360,000 students enrolled, Minnesota colleges are teeming with bright, young students. The top degree earned in the state's colleges was in business management, followed by degrees in education, social sciences, psychology, biological and biomedical sciences, visual and performing arts, health care and clinical sciences, communications and journalism, English and literature, and computer and information sciences. With diverse educational opportunities, it is no wonder that only about sixteen percent of Minnesota students decide to attend college outside the state. The state also has a plethora of two-year community colleges, and the average tuition for these schools was well under $5,000 per year for the 2006-2007 school year.
