Are you a natural leader and a team player? Are you both positive and creative? Are you versatile with a strong “can do” attitude? If so, a career in culinary arts may be right for you; especially if you like adventure and learning new things. By pursuing a degree in culinary arts, you can immerse yourself in the cuisines and cultures of Latin and South America, the Mediterranean, and Asia with exciting courses taught by chefs who are natives of those regions. Beyond the culinary arts essentials, you will learn how to plan, build, promote, run, and sustain a flourishing food-related business. When you graduate, you will have the professional skills, attitude, and knowledge needed to succeed in today's fast-paced culinary business world.

Depending on your desire, you can pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Culinary Arts, an Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts, or an Associate of Applied Science in Baking and Pastry at accredited colleges and universities. It is important to find a culinary program that meets real-world challenges and educates you in culinary skills, business management, and communication. Curricula based on these principles will be sure to provide you with a solid foundation for a culinary career.
